SCI Blood DNA isolation kit utilizes a reliable method for the isolation of pure high–molecular-weight genomic DNA using a silica-based membrane technology in the form of a spin column. The procedure takes less than 20 minutes following cell lysis of whole blood, lymphocytes and cell cultures.

The SCI viral RNA kit provides a rapid method of purification of viral RNA from fresh or frozen cell free biological fluids or cell culture supernatants. The SCI Viral RNA kit uses a silica-based technology for rapid and efficient isolation of viral RNA. Viral RNA binds to a silica membrane after lysis step while contaminants like potent inhibitors and proteins pass through. In the final step of the protocol «clean» viral RNA is eluted from the membrane and becomes available for downstream applications.

FC 25X electrophoresis buffer is available in 0.5 and 1 liter packages. It has a higher separation efficiency for electrophoresis of DNA and RNA segments than conventional TAE and TBE buffers. The 1X FC electrophoresis buffer runs agarose and polyacrylamide gels 4 times faster than conventional TAE or TBE while the image of nucleic acid bands is significantly improved. FC is the preferred buffer for the analysis of PCR products and most laboratory needs. Its low conductivity allows its use with a higher voltage (200 V), which means higher separation speeds of DNA molecules. The FC solution is suitable for DNA separations from 20 to 3000 bases in standard agarose. Excellent resolution over 2000 bp is provided on 0.3-0.5% agarose gel. Use it in the same way as conventional electrophoresis solutions. Fluorescent dyes such as ethidium bromide can be applied during gel preparation while other dyes such as SYBRGreen are applied after the gel has been solidified.
